Seen in Kassel, Germany 2022

Muddled like smoke,

plus, can’t provoke,

noisy and bored,

emptiness-soared.

Hall in Kassel — A major exhibition hall in Kassel, the columns carrying information on the exhibition, or perhaps the “tapestry” is meant to be art in itself.

So is that art,

better you dart

off when you’ve been

at doc’ fifteen.

Do not connect,

do not project

good, self-made stuff

into the slough!

I will exempt, this small attempt,
fantasy-dreams,
boy-made, it seems.

Sorry, that’s all,

Kassel is stalled.

Seek other friends,

better events.

One day you’ve found

more fertile ground.

Please then combine

fresh with old wine.

Mix old and new,

one careful brew.

This is the clue:

seek what is true!

Moderne Skulptur — THE ARTWORK OF THE FORTNIGHT is “Interbau-Freiplastik” by Hans Uhlmann, 1957. Uhlmann had a similar sculpture by the very first documenta in 1955. You may question the meaning of abstract (construct) art, but in my opinion this piece has something to it. Typical for its time, it reflects optimism and no fear of “cold steel”.
